
December 18, 2025 – The “Brand Forging and Value Enhancement – High-Value Trademarks and Guangdong Key Trademark Protection List Workshop,” organized by the Guangdong Trademark Association and jointly hosted by the Innovation and Creativity Committee of the Guangdong Trademark Association, Shenzhen Trademark Association, Shenzhen Science and Technology Innovation Enterprise Trademark Brand Guidance Station, Shenzhen Johnson Intellectual Property Agency (General Partnership), and Guangdong Fair Law Firm, successfully concluded in Shenzhen.
The event brought together brand directors, intellectual property managers, and other professionals from leading enterprises both within and outside Guangdong. Through policy interpretations, practical case studies, and roundtable discussions, the workshop delved into the application logic of “high-value trademark brands” and the “Guangdong Key Trademark Protection List,” pooling industry insights to support the brand building and rights protection efforts of Guangdong enterprises.

Mr. Wenqiu Liu, President of the Shenzhen Enterprise Science and Technology Innovation Association, highlighted that the workshop focused on two core themes – “high-value trademark brands” and the “Guangdong Key Trademark Protection List” – precisely addressing the practical needs of enterprises in brand competition while offering in-depth analysis of the policy tools.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Pan Yang, Secretary-General of the Guangdong Trademark Association, emphasized that the workshop aimed to help enterprises bridge the gap between “high-value trademark brands” and the “Guangdong Key Trademark Protection List.”

Following this, Mr. Wenyu Li, Vice President of the Guangdong Trademark Association, provided a comprehensive analysis of “High-Value Trademark Brand Application Scenarios.”

Ms. Yanmei Lu, Head of the Legal Affairs Department of Guangzhou Pearl River Piano Group Co., Ltd. and General Legal Counsel of Guangzhou Pearl River Kayserburg Piano Co., Ltd., shared insights on “Safeguarding ‘Time-Honored Brands’: Comprehensive Trademark Protection and Anti-Infringement Strategies.”

Mr. Yongfeng Jin, Associate Professor at Jinan University School of Law, elucidated the core role of the “Guangdong Key Trademark Protection List: A ‘Trump Card’ for Corporate Rights Protection.” He traced the development of the list from both policy and practical perspectives, illustrating its deterrent effect on infringement and its role in protecting innovative achievements through case studies.

A roundtable discussion on “Brand Offense and Defense in the Digital Age” was moderated by Mr. Wenqiu Liu. Participants included Associate Professor Yongfeng Jin at Jinan University School of Law; Ms. Xi Yang, Legal Director of SHENZHEN HUJIA TECHNOLOGY CO.,LTD.; Ms. Yanmei Lu, Head of the Legal Affairs Department of Guangzhou Pearl River Piano Group Co., Ltd. and General Legal Counsel of Guangzhou Pearl River Kayserburg Piano Co., Ltd.; and Ms. Meimei Zhang, Brand Manager of Bailun Dialysis Chain (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd.

During the concluding Q&A and networking session, enterprise representatives actively engaged with guest speakers, addressing specific challenges related to their brands. Topics ranged from “pathways to cultivating high-value trademarks” to “detailed responses in specific infringement cases,” enabling precise alignment of needs. Many participants noted that the workshop not only equipped them with practical strategies for utilizing “high-value trademarks” and the “Guangdong Key Protection List” but also broadened their overall perspective on brand protection.
