Brand Activity of TIIP International Forum – Registered Community Design (RCD) & IP Protection of Cross-border E-commerce Salon

On August 22, Registered Community Design (RCD) & IP Protection of Cross-border E-commerce Salon, one of the brand activities of TIIP International Forum, was held successfully. The purpose of the salon is to help cross-border e-commerce companies raise awareness of Registered Community Design, build a better understanding of international IP portfolios, and improve the ability to deal with IP disputes. The salon attracted more than 20 attendees to join and more than 130 online audiences.

The first guest speaker was Lawyer Xijun TONG, from Plasseraud IP, France. Lawyer Tong is a patent attorney in EU and China, and also a litigation lawyer of Unified Patent Court (UPC). Lawyer Tong first introduced the basic concept and prosecution of RCD, then explained how the EU law affects actual cases through different case studies of litigation.

The second guest speaker was Ms. Ya LU, from AliExpress. Ms. Lu is responsible for the merchant expansion of AliExpress. During the salon, she analyzed the hot-selling categories in different regions and countries, and explained the project of “China Good Seller” and the special service called “Full Managed Service” in AliExpress.

TIIP International Forum (full name: International Forum on Technology Innovation and IP Protection) initiated as an international-oriented forum by Technology Innovation and IP Protection Alliance (TIIPA) annually since 2018, has achieved big success in the past 5 years (2018-2022) and attracted 4,000 guests and audience participated.
