Mr. Yongwen WANG(Peter WANG), the founding partner of Johnson IP, visited Singapore with his team on May 14~20,2023 and attended INTA Annual Meeting from May 16~20. During INTA Annual Meeting, Peter met hundreds of friends from different IP law firms from all over the world and had a good time at receptions, activities, and parties.
Peter reviewed the whole INTA Annual Meeting and is willing to share his experience on this wonderful journey.
It was a fruitful and relaxed journey. Just like a big party with friends from all over the world. I hope that the person who has not experienced INTA Annual Meeting can have a rough picture about this big event from my sharing.
The first block of the exhibition center is Booth Area. The size of standard booth was around 5 square metres. Booth can be used as a place for communication and reception. The second block is the Hospitality Area, next to the Booth Area. The Hospitality Area opened earlier and closed later than Booth Area. At least one meeting point would be set in Hospitality Area. Around the meeting point, there were four boxes in different color, which helped people meet at the given time and place. Also, many people had printed out the name of firm in the A4 paper. They sometimes lifted the paper to help others find them easily. I lifted the iPad displaying the name of our firm, otherwise, everyone could miss us easily since there were so many people gathering in the Hospitality Area. The third block was the Conference Room, set up from the Floor 2 to Floor 5. The fourth block was the Reception Area around the exhibition center, which often was the hotel lobby or cafe. The exact place for reception depends on each firm, so many people actually made appointment at the hotel lobby or cafe. Normally, the receptions were hosted by big firms, and the information about all the receptions was updated in the list published by INTA. Therefore, people could checked the list to find which reception they want to join.
Johnson IP has hosted INTA Pre-Annual Meeting Reception in Shenzhen, China, in 2019 and 2023. Johnson IP will keep active in various international IP events in the future and always be open to every colleagues from different IP law firm from all over the world.
