From October 5 to 6, a delegation from Johnson Intellectual Property Agency arrived in Barcelona, Spain, embarking on a two-day visit and exchange tour with Spanish intellectual property firms. The visit was aimed at deepening Johnson IP’s cooperation network in the international intellectual property field and further strengthening its ability to protect clients’ overseas intellectual property rights.
As Spain’s industrial and innovation engine, Barcelona boasts a vibrant intellectual property service ecosystem. More notably, Barcelona is also one of the key hubs of the Unified Patent Court (UPC), with many leading firms maintaining branch offices there dedicated to handling complex European patent and trademark matters. During this visit, the Johnson IP team focused on meeting with several renowned local intellectual property agencies in Barcelona, holding in-depth discussions with local partners and senior attorneys. The two sides exchanged views on topics including European patent and trademark examination practice, EU design protection strategies, and cross-border intellectual property dispute resolution.

Through face-to-face communication, this Barcelona trip enabled Johnson IP to establish closer relationships of mutual trust with local Spanish firms, which will directly benefit Johnson IP’s domestic clients—when enterprises “go global” into Europe, they can obtain more targeted and responsive localized support.
Johnson IP has always adhered to its core philosophy of “Team for You, Expertise to Win” and fulfilled its service commitment that “When enterprises go global, products are the sail, patents are the oars, and we are the escorts.” In the future, Johnson IP will continue to expand its global network of high-quality partners, helping China’s innovative forces navigate steadily and go far overseas.
