Weekly IP News – 2022 Annual Report, China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA)

The China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) issued a Report on Intellectual Property Statistics in China on June 8, 2023. The Report indicates that from January to May 2023, the authorization number of invention patent is 339,000, utility model is 924,000, and industrial design is 296,000. With regard to the trademark application from January to May 2023, the number of trademark registration and trademark authorization amount to 2,770,000 and 1,679,000 respectively.
